Maryland Gerrymandering = Silencing Voters

Maryland Democrats are once again trying to redraw congressional maps — not to reflect communities, but to eliminate the state’s only Republican Congressman, Andy Harris.

Let’s be clear: this isn’t about fair representation.

It’s about power.

The Moore administration and Democratic leadership want to redraw districts to silence Republican voters, particularly in rural and conservative parts of the state. When politicians choose their voters instead of voters choosing their representatives, democracy suffers.

Even Democratic leaders have acknowledged these maps are constitutionally flawed. That should concern everyone, regardless of party. Gerrymandering erodes trust, suppresses dissenting voices, and undermines the integrity of our elections.

Maryland is a diverse state with diverse viewpoints. One-party rule — enforced through rigged maps — is not democracy.

We stand for fair maps, free elections, and equal representation.

Maryland voters deserve a voice — not politicians protecting their power.

Let voters decide. Not Annapolis insiders.

The House votes tomorrow on the redistricting. Then it will go to the Senate. Let Senate President Bill Ferguson know that the Moore map disenfranchises Republican Voters. Ask him to stand by his word that he will not support the proposed map. bill.ferguson@senate.maryland.gov

What are your thoughts on the Moore redistricting map?
